BGEE Launcher Crashes

I am getting crashes to desktop after trying to run the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition (BGEE) Launcher. Earlier I tried installing the beamdog client as well, and ran the BGEE installer. When having both installed, it allowed me to download through the BGEE Launcher. Once downloaded, I booted up the game and the game froze to desktop after showing a white screen. I uninstalled the beamdog client and am having no success in just downloading the game through the standalone installer.

Any help on this? Or an update to the installer?

    i am having the same problem.
    (2 days ago i installed the game succesfully and i played a little bit. But today when i opened the launcher, it informs me to update the game and when i clicked yes, when it tries to update launcher stucks and gave error on win7 64bit. When i again try to open the launcher it is always freezez just like you)
