Is Beamdog still supporting the games?

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
For some reason the installation is blotched on both GOG and Steam. People talk about workarounds like installing OpenAL* manually, but that won't work for me, and I'm left with a broken game I can't run.

*by placing the DLL in the game's folder, I can get it to start, but the sound is gone and I can't get it to work.

    The OpenAL change was part of the x86->x64 rewrite. What DLL are you placing in your game folder? There's an oalinst.exe in the game folder these days, that's the correct installer for this.
