Charm Animal Bug

In the Nashkel Mines, I had Minsc use Charm Animal successfully on a Cave Bear. I immediately quick saved, and then marched my merry troupe up ahead. My girlfriend immediately distracted me as I wandered past another bear, so not wanting to leave my party with unnecessary damage, I loaded the quick save. Here's where I found the bug. In the quick save photo, it shows the best with a friendly white circle under it. When I loaded the quick save, there was no bear.
In short: if you quick save after charming an animal with Minsc's ranger ability, and then load that quick save, the animal disappears. This robs the player of both the XP and loot of killing it, and the temporary ally of the charmed bear, which is sort of a double loss. If this applies to other charm spells as well, it could cause potential game breaking problems if the wrong character is charmed at the wrong time.
