Change Stealth button behavior?

Hello,
I already know that it's hard to modify the action-bar, but I have found this thread: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/70192/is-it-possible-to-assign-one-class-interface-to-that-of-another-class
So I assume, that it's possible to modify the behavior of this button by some means. I want to introduce new behavior for Hide in Shadows, at the moment I have a spell (innate ability) which has all the logic I need, but that makes the Stealth button redundant. So what I want to do is to somehow bind Stealth button to this innate spell (like quick-spell button), so that when you click it, your thief actually casts the spell.
Is such behavior possible at all? And if so, can I do it without EEEx?
