A question about custom voicesets not working properly.

Sorry in advance if this has been answered before, but I'm having a hard time getting my custom voicesets to work properly. These are voicesets that worked in BG2, and are converted from IWD2. Basically the sounds play when you press the 'preview' button in game, but the only sounds that ever play are action acknowledgement sounds, not selection, or battle cries.

I'm not really sure what to start looking at, as mentioned these sets worked in BG2 and I just copied them from there into the BG-EE folder for voicesets.

(on an unrelated note, is there any known way to get custom portraits to show up without having to use the custom button? Maybe through modification of the portraits.bif file?)

    I believe I read a developer or beta tester post stating it is a known bug and will be addressed in a patch.
