Kensai/Mage

I was planning making a kensai/mage. However, the description of the weapons (except staff) at the Inn at the beginning all say Not usable by: Fighter/Mage.

Does this mean I'll have to use quarterstaff only if I dual-class?

    I can't imagine they removed sword use for fighter/mage dual class.. Maybe it only applies to multiclass?

    Yes, it only applies to multiclass. I wanna be a Kensage too ;)

    My very first character in the BG series was a kensai/mage. Ahh the memories.. :-p

    @murderface: which specific weapons weren't usable? IIRC even a multiclass F/M should be able to use all weapon types...

    OP is incorrect. Most of the weapons do not say unusable by fighter/mage. They say unusable by fighter/mage/CLERIC. This is true, cleric cannot use weapons except blunt ones.

    Just checked, and you're right. Must have been a glitch. I could have sworn that it said fighter/mage last night.
