question about the black pits

why the new adventure the black pits is separate from original campaign? Would be possible to create a mod to insert it in the game?

    It works best as a practice zone. To experiment with new builds, try out different battle tactics and stuff like that. You can max level an entire party in just over an hour. That would take all the fun out of the full BG adventure if it was included.
