dorn romance bug

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
i started a new playthrough and wanted to romance dorn, but his romance doesn’t continue after the talk in which he mentions me being the butcher of the sword coast. i’m pretty sure that i chose the right dialogue options so it’s not that. several in game days and real life hours have passed but still nothing. i completed his personal quest and made him a fallen blackguard if that’s important. i’m playing on console so i don’t think i can check the files. any advice on what to do? i started this playthrough specifically to romance him so i hope someone can help.
