No longer saving!

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
Windows version. Just started happening. When I save, I get the message save successful. However looking in the save file list the save isn't there. Also messing is the last auto save due to location change etc. I haven't touch any settings. Any idea what is going on / how to fix?
