Is it even possible to transfer PC save files to iOS/iPadOS anymore?

I seem to be running into problems using current methods to try and move my PC save files over to iPadOS. I followed the process to get the save file packaged back up and on my iCloud, and although the device allows me to open the file in the app it doesn't actually transfer the file into the save folder, so it can't be loaded in-game.

Is there something I'm just not getting?

    It should work. At least for BG and BG2.

    Have you renamed the file before exporting the save into iOS?

    I'm getting the very same issue.
    If it's not possible anymore, Beamdog should make this clear as I have spent £10 on the IOS version for no reason!
