Solo Dragon Disciple - Full Trilogy Run Spell Selection

It's been a while since I've soloed, and I've never soloed Siege of Dragonspear, but I've gotten the itch again.

Dragon Disciple Shaggy is going through BG1 -> SoD -> BG2 -> ToB with SCS.

I'm in the middle of BG1 right now - Level 7 and just cleared out the Mines and am headed to the Bandit Camp, but I finally got around to laying out my spell choices and which levels.

Level 1 Spells
  • 1 Blindness
  • 1 Shield
  • 3 Spook
  • 5 Magic Missile
  • 7 Protection from Evil

Level 2 Spells
  • 4 Mirror Image
  • 5 Web
  • 7 Melf's Acid Arrow
  • 9 Blur
  • 11 Knock

No invisibility, but debating on taking that instead of Knock and moving it up to Level 9. Not sure how SoD will be without it.

Level 3 Spells
  • 6 Melf's Minute Meteors
  • 7 Remove Magic
  • 9 Skull Trap
  • 11 Slow
  • 22 Haste

Level 4 Spells
  • 8 Spirit Armor
  • 9 Stoneskin
  • 11 Improved Invisibility
  • 13 Greater Malison
  • 23 Teleport Field

Level 5 Spells
  • 10 Spell Immunity
  • 11 Breach
  • 13 Lower Resistance
  • 15 Animate Dead
  • 28 Spell Shield (Or Sunfire? idk if this even matters at level 28)

Level 6 Spells
  • 12 True Sight
  • 13 Death Spell
  • 15 Protection from Magical Weapons
  • 21 Contingency
  • 30 Globe of Invulnerability

Not sure if I need Pierce Magic or not...too many good spells here!

Level 7 Spells
  • 14 Project Image
  • 15 Mordenkainen's Sword
  • 17 Ruby Ray of Reversal (too early?)
  • 22 Spell Sequencer
  • 31 Protection from the Elements

Level 8 Spells
  • 16 Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting
  • 17 Spell Trigger
  • 19 Power Word, Blind
  • 23 Incendiary Cloud

Level 9 Spells
  • 18 Time Stop
  • 19 Chain Contingency
  • 20 Wish
  • 25 Spellstrike

Am I overlooking anything, especially for SoD, that I'll need? Should have copious amounts of AoE and summoning with wands. Thanks!

    I don't understand why you take spook at all. I'd rather have identify or protection from petrify. Blur and mirror image seems overkill, drop mirror for invisibility. 3 looks good. 4 drop Tele field for otilukes sphere. 5 why not feeblemind or cloudkill? 6 protection fmw lasts 4 rounds take mislead or pierce magic, I prefer death fog over death spell, 7 drop elements for hakeashar, 8 drop blind for simulacrum, drop wilting or incendiary for pierce shield (I prefer this over ruby reverse, bc RR competes with mord sword), 9 wish comes first it eliminates the need to sleep, spell strike is unnecessary planetary is great or dragons breath. If you use wand of monster summons as your front line tanks bg1 until early SoA that covers your lack of early summons.

    I really like clerics animate dead, but, mage 5 I might trade it for feeble, chaos, or cloudkill. You don't need spell shield and spell immunity I only ever use for kangaxx, literally 1 scroll of immunity or protection undead will cover that.

    1 hakeashar can solo tank any wizard up to irenicus, while you walk away and come back when they have no spells. Irenicus has infinite magic missile and alacrity, but, shield and you're immune.
