Is it still the case that Simulacrums can't use thief abilities even if the caster has thief levels?

I heard that was a bug, or possibly an intended behaviour, introduced a while ago but I don't know if it's still the case in the most recent patch.

    It's a specific bug introduced in patch 2.6; newly created clones have spells applied to them, and the patch added effects to that spell to remove temporary abilities. Along with that, effects to disable the buttons for stealth and trap/illusion detection were added. Oops. Should have disabled the "Thieving" button instead.

    And it's still active in 2.6.6? Or was it only a problem during the initial 2.6 patch.

    There's only one general release of 2.6. And this is active in the released version 2.6.6.0
