Quicksave does nothing - help?

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
I have quicksave bound to q (the default, I didn't change it). It doesn't do anything (quickload consequently also does nothing). No quicksaves show up in the save list either. When I click 'resume game' from the main menu, it starts at the last normal save I made. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

    I reinstalled hidden gameplay options with fewer options instead of everything installed, and that fixed it.
