Steam version keeps crashing

in Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
When I try to enter the southwestern portion of the hive. I have a few mods installed, but I'm really not interested in playing the game without them. Should I just go back to the old version of PS:T? EE might be looking to not be worth the trouble.
