Baldur's Gate GFX/Background

Coming back and playing BG2 on iOS after a year or so and boy the backgrounds, sprites, practically everything except UI looks so washed out and blurry. Its hard to play because it looks low quality. Why is this when the PC version looks so crisp and sharp/detailed? Hope something can be done on next update.
