Me and my friend cant play in multiplayer

Hello!!! My name is Mario and I have a big issue….
Me and my friend are trying to play multiplayer BG1 EE.
He can enter in my game room….
But when he (or me) end to edit the char, we cant do anything later…. I can’t see his player and he cant see mine.
Me, as leader can click in “ready” but he can’t…. and we cant start the game.
Because my DLC I ask him to buy the same too, now we have the same expansions, and still cant play together
we tried with and without DLC, with and Without dragonspear…. but nothing is going on.
an observation, after me or him finish the char edit, we cant recieve eachothers message in chat log …. this is something that happens only after one of us end the edit char
(the only thing he not buy is the classic saga bundle)
