Any mod that offer an alternative to killing Rayic Gethras?

I don't know, I've replayed this game a handful of times and it always bugs me there's no alternative to killing Rayic Gethras, like for lawful or good aligned Charecters.

Even my own charector is playing neutral and the fact theres no alternative given to Edwin wanting you to kill this person, like why can't you accept the quest, yet not go through it, instead either just talking to the guy, making him play along possibly learning whatever info he has on Edwin.

So yeah any mods out there that offer a alternative?
