A rep hit in killing a flaming fist soldier on the way to nashkel - nonsense!



How does it matter to kill a lunatic guy who throws baseless accusations around for no apparent reason than my party being there? People traveling on a road are more likely travelers than bandits, as there won't be bandits without many travelers to raid from, and that fool has likely slain handful of innocents he encountered.

I even surrendered myself for a proper interrogation and he decided to attack me instead. After I killed him, I took 5 hits to my reputation which is simply stupid.

    I agree.. The How it worked in the original game made more sense.

    Just because he didn't like you doesn't mean that society didn't like him.
    There is a different guy in Baldur's Gate who will immediately attack (if there is even a single evil party member in your group) - if you kill that guy, the people will take offense too.
