Before i roll my pc i would like to know what weapon proficiencies my companions will have. Would you folks be so kind as to post weapon proficiencies of NPC's you had found?
Thank You.
Thank You.

-the note for Quayle is no longer accurate: in EE the STR requirement for maces was lowered so he can use them.
I can't really help you with your question. The game's been out 2 days, I don't think anybody's made a comprehensive guide on such things yet. It'll probably be a while.

@Helias: they didn't, rangers get it automatically for free.
Kivans halberds are even stranger when you remember that he wielded a spear in vanilla BG. Of course, he had polearms as skill, but who in his right mind would give an elven archer with a spear "halberds" in the new skillset?
*hangs head in shame*
2 things. @Helias Rangers get 2 pips in two-weapon fighting automatically. Dunno if it's AD&D or just BG but it's been that way as far back as I remember. Also, NPCs recruited at higher levels have more proficiencies. So if you want the greatest amount of control over their development it's best to get them early. This is especially so for thieves as the game tends to spend their skill points... subomptimally (ie: pick pockets).
Anyway, for the interested: here's a good table with the levels you can expect the different NPC's to have when you meet them, in relation to the level of the main character.

The indicated proficiencies will most likely be incorrect, though, as they have been edited by the author and because they don't account for the kits and profinciencies introduced in bg2.
