I’m playing a party with more than one character I’ve made. How do I ensure stuff gets imported??

So I’m playing a 5 person party of my own creation. I have equipment on a few of the characters that I really want to make sure makes it into BG2EE.
How do I do this? Does it have to be on the main character (Gorion’s Ward)? If so, at what point? Or does it have to just be worn by a certain party member at a certain point?
For instance, I really want my dwarf to be able to get Dumathion’s Helmet in BG2. But the dwarf is not my main character.
TIA

The script that looks for imported items checks the inventory of all characters in your party as you begin the SoA campaign, just before all that stuff gets removed. So basically, the stuff you want should be in the inventory (not bags) of, or equipped to, any of the characters you're importing.
You get:
- One weapon, one armor, and one accessory in the starting dungeon. These are all pre-SoD items, and will be either from your imported character(s) or created from scratch.
- Up to eleven SoD items scattered through the campaign. Each item gets placed if your imported character(s) have it and doesn't get placed otherwise. (Of the eleven items on the list, you can't actually get all of them from a single run; two of them are void weapons that are mutually exclusive. You'd have to import characters from multiple runs to get them all.)
