Hey guys!! I just wanted to come on here and inquire about Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Ediiton for the PS5 and PC versions. I played some of the first game on PC, but didnt get very far. How do the two versions compare? I mean, pros and cons, really. How is the interface, combat, etc. And I welcome your thoughts on the two games, I am trying to get as much information as I can before committing to the PS5 version. Any and all help is appreciated!!

- The PC version came first; the console and mobile versions are ports, and only exist since the "Enhanced Edition" update.
- Under the hood, the mechanics are all the same. The differences are essentially entirely about the user interface.
- Well, OK, there's one thing that isn't about the interface - it's a lot easier to mod the PC versions, because computers are set up so you can get at all the files easily.
And on that note, what's the PC user interface? It's almost entirely mouse-controlled. You click on party members or their portraits to select them, you click on buttons to use your characters' abilities, you click on creatures to attack them or talk to them or cast spells at them, you click on items to pick them up or move them to other inventory slots or equip them, you click on menu buttons, and so on. You can set hotkeys for stuff in one of the menus, but you're under no obligation to use them; about the only hotkey I use regularly is the spacebar to pause.
I have nothing to say about the interface for the PS5 version. I haven't played it, or anything on that system, at all.
On the other hand, the ps5 version might provide a more comfortable couch gaming experience, but could have limitations with modding options. Consider your preferred playstyle and platform features before deciding.
Happy gaming.
