Possible Keexie Tavern Bugs

So I'm in Chapter 5 and dropped by the Keexie Tavern in BG East for a quick drink...and I observed two problems:
* The name of the last drink on the list isn't visible - it is obscured by the interface button and can't be read.
* Buying ANY of the drinks does not produce any rumours at all - meaning there's no reason to buy any drinks here apart from getting drunk...
I suspect that both of the above are bugs and am playing version 2.6.6.0. Do these bugs occur in other taverns I wonder?

Though I did notice one thing that looks off when scanning through the files - Alvanhendar's temple/winery in Gullykin uses the Candlekeep rumors. But then, there's no good alternative; the Nashkel and Beregost rumors have too many specific references to being in that location. You'd need a new dialogue just for that one shop.
Also, Alvanhendar should really sell drinks as well as cures. Mod fodder, anyone?
I should note that the Drink::Rumor ratio is nothing like 1::1, each drink purchased has only a chance (which seems to be influenced by the drinker's Charisma) of calling up a rumor. You probably just got unlucky, several times in a row.
Even though I'm playing unmodded BG1EE, I'm actually surprised at how much mod content Beamdog chose not to adopt as canon. I can understand not implementing things like Quest Pack, but how could they leave out Unfinished Business? Coran still has his archaic & illegal 20 DEX & 3 stars in Longbow (they didn't even do the decent thing & move his extra proficiency point into Shortbow instead), Sarevok's diary misspells the month of Mirtul as "Myrtle", and they even preserved the bug about being able to pickpocket a duplicate of a certain unique item from an immaterial being. What were they thinking?
