I've run into a problem with the very start of the MindFlayer tunnels (in the Underdark, Eastern tunnels section). I've done the initial fight with no hassles, and talked to the Githyanki, and agreed to their plan. However, when I get to the three way fight I hit a bug. The githyanki start their attack on the mindflayers, but don't seem to recognise it when I kill the Kua Toa. they just keep on doing the same thing over and over and over.
I've replayed from the entry into the tunnels many times, changing the dialogue, refusing to join their plan, killing them in the cades, ki8lling them in the arena but no joy at all. Most of this just triggers another loop (fightin Umber Hulks over and over)
Does anyone out there know of a global variable that is involved in this fight, and could rnd yjis damn loop
I have an unbelievable number of mods - most of them are Weasel mods but there are a few others and I really don't want to list them all

Yeah..
You're right though. Using the console is the only possible way to fix this, but i don't know a reliable source for finding quest and stage id's. I guess you could google for bg2 quest stage console id, or something.. unless you wanna learn how to use NearInfinity.
Using console to fix broken quest strings and misfired scripts has been done since release 20+ years ago, so there's a chance it's out there somewhere >.<
