"Reveal details stops working as soon as I do practically anything"

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Playing BGEE, and I click "reveal details" to highlight everything. I want it always on.

As soon as I do practically anything other than moving, such as if I open the inventory or the map, the setting turns itself off, and I have to manually click it back on again, which is very annoying.

Has anyone experienced this, and do they know of a fix?
