Hotkey ALT does not work?

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
Hello, I have read that by pressing the ALT Key on the keyboard all chests should be highlighted. I am now in Kuldahar in Conlan smithy and pressing ALT does not highlight the chest located nearby his son. What is the reason? I have IWD 1 EE from Steam. Maybe I need to edit some .ini files?

    ALT key worked in original IWD. For the Enhanced Editions use the TAB key instead.
