Weapon Finesse?

Does your maximum dex bonus cap on armour limit the bonus you get, or not? Did it ever in another version? Having this discussion, but I can't recall ever seeing this happen.

    As far as I know the maximum Dex on armor has only ever applied to AC and nothing else.

    Under 3rd Ed rules, yes, the maximum Dex bonus cap on Armor only applies to AC. It does not affect your attack bonus with Weapon Finesse when wielding appropriate weapons.
