NWN EE Settings Support for negative Minimum Camera Distances

Are there plans to bring support for negative Camera distances for the NWN EE settings? The reasons for this is to enable modifications to the camera distances so experiences such as this:

Can be enjoyed on NWN EE. In other words, making a true first person experience possible. Not sure why this is the case with NWN EE, but it seems like negative integers are not supported while they were on the NWN 1.69, unless I've missed something fundamentally different. At current times, if you insert a negative number or even zero into the minimum distance in NWN EE settings, when loading the game, the number will reset to 1.1, or something like that, when re-opening the settings file.
When I'm talking about the settings, I'm talking about the file that you can open with note pad and change the camera distance settings, pitch and things like that.
