Cannot mod BGEE with DLC merger

Hello all,
I am trying to mod BGEE with DLC merger but I receive the error message:

[C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\setup-DlcMerger.exe] WeiDU version 24900

Please run this program in your Infinity Engine game directory.

FATAL ERROR: Failure("Not a game directory")

Press ENTER to exit.

I read other support threads with this error and the solution should be to run the setup in the root folder, which I did.
I dis-installed and re-installed the game but still getting the same error.
Can you please help me?
