Importing characters file

I still have my character file from BG1 but I am not finding the "characters" folder... can someone point me? I'd like to play the EE with him.

    \User\My Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition\characters

    Be careful and be prepared for possible oddities. BG1 characters do not directly import into BG:EE. If you had already converted it to import into BG2:SoA... use that character instead. Still possible to have problems, but at least the engine language is the same.
