What would BG:EE have been like if...

What would BG:EE have been like if they had released it on their original date? I've been pretty fortunate so far, as I've not had near the problems being reported on the forum. My issues are seemingly random "game freezes" which are highly annoying...but manageable due to my constant use of saves/quick saves.
