Newbie question

I’m completely new to BG and trying to find my way. Completed the tutorial in the Balder’s Gate section , but now seem to be only progress to the Black Pits. Doesn’t feel right but thought I’ll double check

Yeah Black Pits is its own thing, not really a part of the BG story-line. You may need to exit all the way back out to the “start a new game” page? If you really,like the character you created for the tutorial be sure you export them first. Then when you start a new game you’ll be in in character creation, just import the character.

Black Pits 1 with 15 arena fights is a good training zone. There are all types of weapons up to +2, all scrolls for mages, almost all potions etc. It allows a quick progression up to 500,000 XP. ⚔️

I find it hopelessly boring. No story, just combat. Get on with the game already...

Thanks all, helpful. Managed to get going with the BG storyline
