So I check the chest where her gear is supposed to be and none of it is there. All lost. Most notably
- Two Ankgheg Plates
- The Wistling Sword + 2
- Protector of the Dryads + 2
- Albruin + 1
- Two Rashad's Talons + 2
- The Stupifier
- Ashideena + 2
- The Captive Audience
- Mighty Oak + 2
- Varscona + 2
Where is the stuff ?
This is her gear and inventory before I beat Sarevok and transfer to SoD
It was supposed to be in this chest

But then I don’t really use Imoen as a mule.
I have parked her in one of the inns, with the items on her as depicted on the screenshot. Then I just finish BG1 and start SOD. When I go to her chest, nada, items are not inside.
I wonder what is causing this glitch. Could it be that she is beyond her carry weight - 130 pounds vs 50 pounds allowed
People report that the chest contains her items, but they most likely have Imoen in their active party at the very end.
Beamdog has never ever considered after so many years that it is possible that Imoen is not in the active party and thus the player will lose everything she was carryinng in SoD. Amazingly simplistic oversight for a dev
Most players don't let NPC outside of the party with many gears on them.
But in case you insist to receive the artifacts on fresh start, and you made the same mistake as me to give Imoen powerful artifacts as a pack mule while not using her in the final battle, then there is two solutions I can think of.
1. Either use EEKeeper to import the items in your save in SoD
2. Or use console commands to get them if you are experienced with the console
Either way, embarrassing for Beamdog to make such a glaring oversight, and having players look alt ways to correct their game programming
