Neothelid - won't surface

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
Have got through this before but first run through with SCS. The Neothelid just stays underground so I can't attack it. Also a bit unfair that it can summon swords when death spell isn't available

    It is a tough fight. You can also wait out the swords as a tactic. Or retreat and return to fight after resting. I sometimes cakewalk it, but if he gets multiple swords going I usually lose multiple party members.
