Wand of Cloudkill vs Cloudkill

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
So looking at the description of the Wand of Cloudkill (https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Wand_of_Cloudkill) vs Cloudkill (https://baldursgate.fandom.com/wiki/Cloudkill) they seem to be identical.

Given that this wand is so easy to obtain, is there any reason to ever memorize Cloudkill? IOW - is there a difference between casting this from wand vs memorizing it?

    It's exactly the same spell, and nothing about the spell depends on caster level.

    So yeah, not something you'll likely ever want to memorize in BG2. Though it is quite good for Dynaheir in BG1 and SoD.
