HELP! Game freezing on character selection screen.

My game is freezing as soon as it reaches the character selection screen. As soon as the character selection screen loads, I can't click anything, and then it freezes and I get the Windows message "Neverwinter Nights is not responding", close program or wait for program to respond.

I tried moving my bic files out of the localvault folder and the screen no longer freezes. I put only the most recent one back in and it freezes again. Is there any fix for this?

    Update: I tried an older character file as well and it did the same thing.

    I can load older saves so there might be something wrong with my save file. Can this be fixed?

    Just an update, I went back to an older save and replayed the part of the game I lost and then all my saves corrupted after playing for 3 hours. Guess nobody will help me on this forum however.
