IPad: Can’t close spell information window (in tutorial)

I made it to the last part of the tutorial when I opened the “spell information” window for set snare, and now I can’t close that window to return to the game itself. All left and right side buttons are disabled. The bottom row is enabled but I can’t do much with them. I’ve tried tapping all over the screen, long-tapping, etc, but no luck, and the NPCs are whining at me that I’m wasting time (no kidding!).

I wish the game had support for the keyboard and trackpad.

My only option appears to be to force quit the game and reload a saved game, but I’m worried this is just going to happen again.
