New Member Trying Again

I posted here back in March 2022 and failed to get what I wanted out of the game and community. I am a veteran cRPG player, but never got around to playing Baldur's Gate 1 & 2. I had just finished Pillars of Eternity 1 when a computer fire destroyed my save files before I could import into Pillars of Eternity 2, and decided to give the EET mod a try. Yes, I know everyone says to play a vanilla run first, but I work 60 hours plus a week, and I prefer to have the best experience possible from the beginning. However, I want to use only the best mods that affect vanilla content, such as fix packs, restored content, game mechanics (rules), and the very best quest content like Ascension. I know that I should use Project Infinity to install them. Then I want to play a complete elf version of the Bladesinger as well.

After scouring Google, I posted on these forums several times about getting help to make my perfect playthrough. Both shifting through the hundreds if not thousands of mods to find the current "modern practice" in terms of modding and trying to actually use Project Infinity, is just daunting. For example, DLCMerger being preferred to ModMerger, and knowing that Project Infinity can be used to make mod install order, but there is nothing showing how to do it. I got permission from the author of Eldritch Magic to fix up his Bladesinger for EET. But I could not get help on these forums tackling any of this. Again, I tried myself and failed. Is this the right place?

I tend to have Project infinity in a folder with all my mods in a subfolder so they're all managed together.
I am using DLC Merger 1.5 and it goes in the very first folder in the Project Infinity install, I've been able to successfully install and play a massively modded EET.

I tend to find some mods don't have the necessary unique labels setting in the ini and tp2, so I made an app to add them to mods. The most common issue observed is the tick boxes go blank because without the labels in the tp2 it can't remember your install order.

Generally the suggested install order in the app is very good for getting mods in the right sequence. Some have conflicts and it can be a bit of an art getting them to work together

Yeah, I seem to have had better luck abandoning PI all together. I still have not finished an installation with the mods I want to play, but without PI I am getting closer. It is painfully slow... I doubt I will be successful my interest finally wanes...
