FPS problem

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
Its a bit odd but I only get 30 fps and it is very choppy and stuttering, not smooth at all. I obviously have far, far exceed the requirements so I dont know what is going on here.

    The game is meant to run at 30 FPS; it's actually capped there unless you change a setting that's not accessible from the in-game menus (edit a line in baldur.lua). Trying to run the game at a higher frame rate would likely have nasty side effects unless you compensated for them.
    And for a 2D game from around 2000, 30 FPS is perfectly normal. Diablo II ran at a fixed 25 FPS, for example.

    So really, the problem seems to be that you're experiencing choppy graphics for some reason. Which is hard to pin down, especially since that's a very subjective judgement.
