Unspent skill points and exported characters

Hi. If I were to finish a campaign and my character has unspent skill points, will those points be available the next time my character levels up in a different campaign or be lost?

    The character file keeps a record of unused skill points so transferring the file should also transfer the skill points. So long as your character hasn't yet reached level 40, unused skill points should be available on your next level-up regardless of which game your character was in.
