Concerning moving NWN:EE from one hard drive location to another

Hey everyone!! I have come to see that my NWN:EE installed files are located in the documents folder for my C drive. Is there a legit way to move those files - pretty much the game itself - from that location to another one? Or would that kinda disrupt things? I understand that the documents folder is the game's default location, but am curious if I could move it elsewhere. Can someone please fill me in on this?

    There are essentially two different locations - the installation (executables, official campaign data) and user documents (saves, logs, mods).

    The installation is NOT normally in Documents. You can move it to another drive, updating the path in the shortcut(s) you use to run the game. If you rely on Steam or GOG to update the game, amend their path info, too.

    User documents can also be moved to another drive, as long as you leave nwn.ini in the original location. Open that file in a text editor. Notice that there is a path for each file type. Back it up, then change all the paths to the new drive.
