Where is the final SoD save made?

in Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear
I have a self made party. I have equipment I’d like to find in BG2, but it’s not normally worn by my main character (a sorcerer).

Equipment like the Helm of Dumathoin and the Buckler of the Fist and the Bards hat.

At what point do I need to slide this stuff to my sorcerers inventory so I can find it again later in BG2?

    Before going to sleep after the victory party.

    Yeah, that's the "Final Save". You can of course make a manual save somewhere in the epilogue and import from that as well.
