Error: exception processing message 0xc0000005 unexpected parameters

I was playing the expansion, in the crypts from the area that Hobard teleports you to, and suddenly got this error. each time i reload the save, after some 10-15 seconds, i get the error and the game crashes to windows. does anyonw know a fix? i also tried an earlier save, but with the same outcome.

I don’t have experience with this particular error, but some with error-driven reinstalls. When you reinstalled, did you clear your cache? I typically also exited the area then re-entered so the problem area got reloaded. If that doesn’t work for you, I’ve got nothing.

It’s been a while, but you want to find any locations with temporary files and get rid of them. See here, for example. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-clear-the-cache-of-a-particular-game/e6cde495-87ef-4573-bd3b-23565bd34297

Maybe someone more technical than me can give more specific advice.

the thing that triggers the error is me entering the dungeon in the right side of the are where Hobart takes you, using the stairs beneath the ritual pot where u put the symbol of Helm. everytime i do that, i get the error and crash within seconds. so, this points to... what?

LE: the same thing happens if i sleep in that dungeon.

    and then another one:6ussonemn951.jpg

by now its clear, either i find a fix or its goodbye game :(

well, i loaded an earlier save, spent two days worth of free time to replay the area and now it seems no more problems..
