Exporting a character from BGEE IOS to BGIIEE on Windows

Hello Beamdog forum! I recently bought BGII on Steam after beating the game on IOS, and exported my character to my laptop. However, it seemed that the IOS version used a different file type than the one needed for the steam version (The Character file from IOS was ".bg1character", whereas the other file was a ".chr" file). Does anyone know if I can get the right file type, or should I just make a new character?
