Marketh. Choosing of good party

What should a paladin do in the case of Marketh? He is responsible for the death of his group's paladin. Beyond that, his crimes are severe enough to allow him to get away with it. However, I tend to think that this approach is more suitable for a neutral/evil party. Perhaps the developers left the option to spare the Marketh for a good party.

Like a lot of moral issues the solution is not obvious, easy, or cut and dried. This is part of why Paladins must have an above average Wisdom!

On the face of it Marketh is bad. Evil. He rules as a tyrant, tortures and maims children, betrayed and killed at least one friend (the Paladin). Immediate justice is fitting for him, no problem.

BUT, Ginafae, a Drow who does not detect as evil, begs for his life. And you can actually only help her escape her imprisonment if you agree to let him live.

So do exact appropriate justice? Or do you help an innocent Drow woman. You can’t do both. I think a Paladin can, in good conscience, make either choice.
