Mods that improve spears?

Hello friends, I always thought spears were cool and was disappointed they're so awful. Are there any mods that improve them in both games? I know about the Item Upgrade mod for bg2, but I don't know any for the first game. Maybe Forgotten Armament? I can't remember. Thanks in advance!
