Hexxat quest bug revisited

.....Well, color me surprised; my plan actually succeeded! As soon as I got the message that the lich had been "destroyed", I had everybody run like heck out of the room, and slammed the door behind us. And it worked! Hexxat did go into her dialogue about the Casque not working, but she only did it once, instead of the endless repitition. I went back into the room just to check, and the clone lich was STILL there. But as long as I didn't interact with him, all went well. I even looted Phreya's body and the clone lich did nothing. Looks to me that once we get Hexxat out of sight of the clone, the dialogue loop isn't triggered.
.....Now, Hexxat does say that we still have work to do; apparently she knows that the one we fought was a decoy. Which, of course, still means we can't pop back to the Pocket Plane and prep up to go after Melissan. Also, I did some research, and apparently there is a long standing bug with this quest. There are posts going back to 2014 commenting about this. However, usually the bug that results in Hexxat entering into an endless loop occurs during the fight with the real Korkorran. I'll have to see how it goes, but I am hopeful.

    OK, Now I am getting annoyed. Hexxat doesn't appear broken, but we can't find the real Korkorran. I know where he is supposed to be, but there seems to be no route to that room. Is there some other weird trick with doors I need to do? I have been having Hexxat search, looking for secret doors, but I can't find any so far. Do I have to circle around to a different side of the map?

    The door from the decoy's room leading to the lab and the center of the maze is plot-locked. It will unlock when the decoy is dead - in this case, a Dead() check rather than looking at the variable, so a nonstandard kill would work. But at least one instance of that decoy needs to actually be killed.

    There are two other doors from the puzzle section to the lab, but they're permanently locked.

    So, options.
    - Execute a script action with the cheat/debug console: Kill("ohhdecoy"). That should trigger the door to open.
    - Edit the save. Open up the instance of OH7300.ARE in it and set "Door21" to be unlocked.

    Arg! The decoy never actually dies! I got a message saying that he died, but he's still standing there in his damned plot armor. And as long as he refuses to disappear, that last door just will NOT open. And if we stay in the room, Hexxat gets broken again and goes into her endless dialogue loop. OK, fine ... How do I access the debug console?
