Keep Dynaheir in the party without Minsc

The way to do is to rescue her FIRST without talking to Minsc. Then never initiate conversation with Minsc, or they will join together and become inseparable.

Someone said in the internet that if you walk by next to Minsc too close he will initiate dialogue himself. Haven't tested that but beware.

Dynaher is much much more valuable than Minsc. So I can't stand Minsc but welcome strong Evocation Wizard

Dynaheir has always been quite meh imo, worse than Xan or dualed Imoen. Her biggest advantage is the boosted saving roll on her web spell, which works perfectly in tandem with Minsc and the spider's bane sword.

Fireball is a great spell but it's somewhat undercut by the all the wands of fire that you can acquire. And even without the saving throw or even the boosted damage dice, I feel like the zero casting time of a wand often makes them superior. Moreover, I'd rather stuff my spellbook full of abilities that are not available on wands, providing more tactical options.

No sleep spell and no dexterity bonuses make her extremely limited in the early game, where items and spell slots are scarce.

She's strong in the late game, as anyone who can use all the wands is, but she's less strong than most of your other options that can use those.

Personally I’m far more likely to want Minsc on my team. But it’s not a big deal either way. Just walk into a building (or cave) that you don’t plan on re-entering, then exit with everyone except the character you want to dump. Once you’re clear, Reform your Party without the character you don’t want. This is so easy, it practically makes the fix for this in the Tweaks mod superfluous.

Web of course. Web itself is much more valuable than Minsc. MInsc is good archer, good two-hander but we can make a good warrior out of anybody in this game at least BG1. Right now I am making Ajantis the good tanky hero.

But it is not only Web. Wielding staffs as you said is important in crucial fights when a mage is equal to 10 fighters by debilitating spells.

I even plan using two mages. We see how it goes. Had to discontinue for a while but on a new roll with my bounty hunter. THis time even a better one with better points distribution, idea is to take him to BG2.

Minsc is not cool. There are better archers than Minsc out there, think Coran or Kivan. He is not that great tank either. If you plan to play with tanks just roll yourself rather than him. I don't like him, doesn't excel neither as archer nor tank to Coran who is cannon. Loud noisy NPC that really annoys me with his presence.

I play a thief and you know a thief opens a lot of possibilities for Web. Stealth and reveal and send Dynaheir to Web bombard them with Webs. Or fireballs. Then pick them up ranged. I don't need Minsc. The Ducal palace fight Minsc is useless there. You need Dyneheir. I believe she can also summon creatures and I want to play summon party little bit too, with two clerics initially, then swap one cleric for a pure druid in Cloakwood.

Hard battle ahead is Durlag's tower final boss, but will meta cheese I know what he does most dangerous is his triple fireball. Intend to kill him with traps from distance and swarm him with summons. I know he will fall but most dangerous is if he destroys anyone to dust with his enormous tripple damage fireball. If someone gets wasted in the party it means re-roll and fail.

Might send Viconia the drow with fire resist buffed enormously to kite him. He doesn't move much and is exposed to summons. Snares should really make short work of him, Impenetrable Magic resistance he has but a couple of mad ogres will pulp him eventually after the snares.

Last time I destroyed him with my main archer elf but like I said he wiped Minsc with 70 damage fireball he barely had 50 health so I messed it up, but the archer is such a strong in BG1, but because I have a rule if an NPC gets wiped it is resign no matter I equally destroyed him with arrows while he destroyed Minsc.
