Baldurs Gate 2 EE - Trouble with Irenicus' lovers room traps

in Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition
im a solo assassin on Legacy of Bhaal difficulty, with 50 points in Find traps and 50 in Open lock, and i cant disarm any of the traps in that room on the first level of Irenicus' dungeon. not even after drinking the Master thievery potion found in that same room. im hoping, please, for some advice on how to get past this, at the very least i need to disarm the trap in front of the chest with the key that activates the portals to the second level of the dungeon.

    could this be a bug? i made a test with about 105 in open locks (after gulping the thieving potion) and still cant disarm the damn traps. plus that trap in front of the chest with the key that i need so i can move forward with the game can trigger even when attempting to disarm it and i get insta death.
