Is it worth it getting the Enhanced Edition if I already own the Diamond Edition?

So, it's been a long time since I played this game. I thought of going through the OC + SoU and HotU (along with some premium modules) again, but one thing that I'm wondering is, which version of the game should I play?

I never paid any attention to the Enhanced Edition when it was released because all the new changes it introduced didn't seem all that interesting to me, but now that I'm looking to play through the campaigns again, I'm wondering if the EE is worth getting or if I should stay with the original Diamond Edition.

Specifically, I'm only interested in single-player content, not multi-player, PWs, or the Toolset and modding.

Also, I don't plan to use any of the new post-process effects as well. While the game may look better with it, I would prefer to keep the game's visuals as close to the original as possible.

With all of this in mind, should I go with the EE, or is it recommended to stay with the DE?

There is zero support for Diamond Edition these days. If it works, sure you can use it, but if the modules have been made for Enhanced Edition, you're going to need Enhanced Edition to play them.

There are a bunch of new modules for EE that you will not be able to play with the Diamond edition.

The one and only reason to play the diamond edition is if you have a Creative Labs Sound card that has Alchemy. That way you can run EAX and get the half of the game that the enhanced edition is missing.

They did update the forest area visuals in EE, but other than that, I don't think you'd notice any of the changes.
