How to modify combat log?

I'm trying to create a mod that expands the combat log, similar to Reveal Hidden Gameplay Options.
Specifically, I want it to display: D20 roll + attack bonuses = total : enemy AC.
I also want it to show how your THAC0 impacts your roll.
I have an idea of how to do it, but the problem is that I can't find where the game stores its combat formulas or where they are outputted into the combat log. Is it even possible to access this using Near Infinity? Given that the mentioned mod expands the combat log, it leads me to believe it's not hardcoded.
